My group chose Wilson to be our side character because Tom had an affair with Myrtle, Wilson's wife. Wilson is a poor mechanic and his wife, Myrtle, gets around.

Dominant and submissive social role relates to Wilson's life because Tom is old money and Wilson is poor. Tom is dominant over Wilson because he has more money. Tom was born into wealth and money, while Wilson was born into poverty. Wilson works hard as a mechanic and Tom does not have to lift a finger. Wilson fills Toms car with gasoline as well, which shows Wilson servicing Tom because he's poor. A rich man would never service someone else who is of lesser value and wealth.

My group had Nash dress as Tom, wearing a navy blue suit and khaki pants to symbolize old money. We had Destiny dress in a bright pink flowy dress to symbolize new money. Myrtle(Destiny) becomes new money by having an affair with Tom. Tom rwards Myrtle with the lavish lifestyle in return for sexual affairs, making her new money. Ashton dressed as Wilson, wearing a dirty white shirt to symbolize poverty.
